Floral Expressions In Wax

New Online Studio Workshop!

workshop description:

I absolutely love using molten wax as my painting medium and I cannot wait to share my step-by-step techniques for creating gorgeous Floral Expressions In Wax. Get ready to come and unleash your creativity and learn with me as I guide you in the creation of your own floral masterpieces.

Floral Expressions In Wax is filled with wonderful floral inspiration, close to eight hours of video, and downloadable resources to take you on a fabulous adventure through painting beautiful florals in wax. We’ll discover new substrates as well as how to create fabulous backgrounds for our floral beauties.

Over the last seven years, I’ve immersed myself in painting gorgeous florals in wax and several of my wax florals were exhibited at a solo exhibition at The Morris Museum in 2017. Whether I am painting in encaustic wax, alcohol inks, or other mediums such as acrylics and oils, I’ve always had a soft spot for florals. The more expressive, the better!

Imagine yourself sitting side-by-side with me.

My online classes allow my students to feel like I am right there working through each step of the process. Very "unscripted" and real, my online classes are a combination of me talking and explaining the process as well as many video demonstrations.

In Floral Expressions In Wax, I will walk you through key fundamental elements in thinking about working with wax. I will share my favorite heating tools and substrates and we’ll learn how to create beautiful shapes with heating tools, how to make perfect stems and leaves, and I’ll provide you with downloadable resources to set you on a strong foundation for the next steps of your learning adventure.

And, the added bonus in all of my classes, is my involvement in my loving Facebook Learning Community. Whether it is popping in the group from Monday through Friday for some artistic inspiration or surprise videos or provide specific feedback to students, I am always there and super responsive to all of my students.

As always, my classes are about joyfully discovering your own unique voice. No two paintings will be alike and from the beginning, your style will brilliantly shine through each of your paintings.

all skill levels welcome
